Heya, here're my exercises for the past 2 weeks, sorry for the late sp exercise. It didn't take long, compared to others', it was rather quick n' dirty. The hands exercise was quite fun.

James life session pt.2

These are from the second half of the life session on Saturday (with the exception of the hands). There is one 15, one, 20, and one 30ish. I haven't been able to draw from life (well, people anyway) since no one is around on Sunday and because I have class for 8 hours on Mondays. Two of these are done with ball point and the other one is ink and markers.

Heya guys, thought it would be about time for me to post my stuff. It's crap, but please forgive me, I'm really trying to get better - I just don't know how to :(

James life session pt.1

This was from the first half of the life session today. These consist of 1,3,5, and 10 minute figures. For the first part of the session, I decided to use charcoal since I loathe it and need to get better at it. I think it got better towards the end as my final charcoal gesture was probably the best (the first image). I'll post the other half (which is also suspect) when I find a scanner. Let me know what you think!

Here's today's attempts. I know these are pretty bad, but I'm still a little timid to draw people in public. This girl spotted me drawing her today and it seemed to make her very uncomfortable. Well, she had a pissed-off look anyway. Today was extra distracting as the sun was out and girls everywhere were wearing their short skirts and short shorts.

A couple life drawings from class and the bistro today. I just bought a new ball point pen, so maybe that will make me more aware of line quality (as you can see it is terrible!). These life studies are quick since every one moves all the time and I'm still pretty timid about drawing in public, especially when people spot me drawing them. I've had several dirty looks so far!
